Hi Everyone -
As we bring 2010 to a close, I'd like to thank everyone for their support of the Buckeye State Lady Riders. We couldn't have done it without you!
We're rolling right into 2011 with a couple rides, a chapter meeting, and a few other events.
Nothing to do on New Year's Eve? How about some ice skating? Get into the holiday spirit!
Looking to get more into the holiday spirit? Here are a few suggestions that range from a mouse click to photos with Santa to volunteering a hour or two of your time for a great cause.
Central Ohio Sheltie Rescue and Santa have joined forces! With Christmas just around the corner, we are pleased to announce that Santa will be readily available from 11-4 on December 12 at the Petsmart on Rome-Hilliard Road just so you can have your little furry friends pose for pictures with him! Yes, we do cats as well!
Also, if you miss that one, Santa will be at the Polaris Petsmart on December 19 from 11-4 as well...
$5 from each picture taken goes to our rescue! Won't you come out and show the sheltie support by bringing your furkid to get their picture taken?

E-Cards to Soldiers in Iraq! If you go to http://www.letssaythanks.com/, you can pick out a thank-you card, Xerox will print it, and it will be sent to a soldier that is currently serving in Iraq . You can't pick out who gets it, but it will go to a member of the armed services. It is FREE and it only takes a few seconds.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if the soldiers received a bunch of these? Whether you are for or against the war, our soldiers over there need to know we are behind them.
Operation Buckeye (Care Packages for the Troops) was formed to send boxes to our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. Last year, 5,274 boxes were sent to the men and women of our armed forces. To date, over 13,295 boxes have been sent – their goal is to reach 20,000 by the end of 2010!
If you’d like to help, they take monetary donations AND/OR volunteer help. The money collected goes toward the SHIPPING of these packages; everything else is all done by volunteers!!!Wouldn't it be wonderful if the soldiers received a bunch of these?
